Humanitarian Emergency Response

Mozambique Humanitarian
Solidarity Campaign

From Emergency Response to Resettlement and Recovery

Mozambique is facing a prolonged humanitarian crisis caused by severe flooding and the armed conflict in Cabo Delgado. This campaign mobilises coordinated international support — financial, in-kind and technical — to assist affected communities from emergency rescue through safe resettlement and long-term recovery.

The Crisis

Since the declaration of a national red alert, large areas of Mozambique have been affected by severe floods, forcing mass evacuations and the establishment of temporary accommodation centres. At the same time, hundreds of thousands of people remain internally displaced due to the prolonged conflict in Cabo Delgado.

This is not a one-off emergency. It is a compound humanitarian crisis, combining climate-related disasters and conflict-driven displacement, with long-term consequences for safety, livelihoods and human dignity.
